I am trying out some layouts for my geese. I don't want them side by side because the quilt would be soooo heavy with all the tiny pieces, plus the seams won't nest.
Not crazy about this layout on the gold fabric. Notice I have all the geese flying out horizontally from the center.

I vote for a heavy quilt! I love the look in the last photo. : )
I like the HST layout better. I think if you were going to do the one on the top I would go with a lighter alternate blocks.
Perhaps just a thin sashing with matching cornerstones?
Here's my say..............I'm with Janet, go with the second setting, it's lovely!!

I do like the last one a lot too, but what if you did the first one, but with all the FG going the same way and the next row down the opposite way, etc.? I like the gold fabric.
