{Post 1,247} Log Cabin Wall Hanging

I have not worked on this quilt for a year.  This afternoon I completed two of the cream rows.  Now I just have one dark "ring" and one light "ring" to hand quilt.  I will probably bind it soon (before the hand quilting is finished) so the edges don't ravel.  This is my focus project for the next few days.

It's 43" square and will live in my living room when it's finished.

{Post 1,246} More Stars and SPACE!!!

First up are 4 more finished blocks.  The pink one (second row down third one in) was nearly perfectly square...but it was an inch too small.  Since the seam allowances were tiny, I decided to frame it in muslin strips and let things fall the way they might.  Three of my last 4 blocks to repair are primarily pink, so there will be some shuffling around before I call this layout finished!

With 22 minutes of help from my 3 children at home, we were able to straighten up and sweep the garage to make a major transformation.  From this:

Now to get cleaned up and sew on a binding for a while.

{Post 1,245} Twelve Vintage Stars Complete (Outta 20)

The new 3 just needed some trimming, a few units replaced, and a gentle pressing.

{Post 1,244} Three More Blocks on the Wall

Here are the blocks completed so far.  The bottom three were given new life today!

I have some close-up of the fabrics so you can see how lovely ugly some really are...but I like them anyways!

For your chuckle for the day...I asked my son to get empty hangers from his closet to bring to the laundry room.  "I don't have any" was his response.  I went to look for myself.  This is only part of what I found.  I felt like the mom in the Zits cartoon.  I tried to get the ones off the closet floor, but when I bent down, the ones on my arm started falling off.
